New Stuff and a Birthday Gift to myself

With the current rate of how gas prices are going up, our household has decided to downsize our cars. Currently, our most petrol hungry cars are the Mitsubushi Galant, Audi 80, Toyota Camry, and a Nissan Cefiro. Two cars have to go. We’re thinking that the Galant and the Audi will be the first to suffer the chopping block of resale.

Fuel efficient cars is the way to go so our choices were rounded down to a few notable cars. A Vois, a City, a Jazz, or a Getz.

The Vios was a quick choice for my parents. The City was a little neglected because we already have a City. The Jazz was out of the question because it was out of stock and a little too expensive. The Getz was also a probable choice because it sported a 1.1 liter engine that was expected to do up to 20 kilometers per liter.

All in all, we got the Vios and the Getz.

The Toyota Car was delivered last Tuesday. And to my father’s surprise, an Altis came driving up front our house.

My mom got the Altis behind my father’s back thinking that my dad will be happy because of the free upgrade in car class. We all thought our dad would get mad. Getting the Altis basically annihilates the purpose of downsizing cars. The Altis was bigger meaning it had a bigger engine and a bigger gasoline consumption than that of the Vios. Ay hay. Oh well, what’s done is done. I bet my dad is be grumpy for the next month or so.

That’s my brother inside trying out the car.

On another note, my birthday just past and I got myself new effects! I am really loving it because of the fact that I did not have any guitar effects for the longest time. I was having trouble recording myself with just an AmpLug. Not having an array of sounds in frontĀ  of you when you play really limited me. I guess I’m not that guitar straight to amp kind of guy.

That’s my Godin Solidac and my new M-Audio Black Box.

Happy Listening!
