Getting The Hang of It

I am slowly inching into the routine. I need to keep this up. I need to slowly inch my diet plan in as well. The holiday season eating frenzy is not helping though.

Too Little Time

I want to get thin again but there is just so much other stuff to do right now. I need to set things straight. I need to plan out my time more properly. Workout today was OK but was completely negated by the over eating that I did again.

Super Cheat Day

I am only on the third day of my challenge and I am already having cheat days. I promised to have 30 Days of Sweat a couple of days ago and I have seemed to fulfill that this morning.

I woke up with a heavy heart this morning. My Garmin decided to commit suicide the night before and I absolutely felt no motivation to train. I had to commit to my 30 days or it would just mean that I can’t keep up with what I want to do. My body still felt heavy and sore from the past two days of cardio so I did some weight training.

It was a quick weight workout that ended in about 30 minutes. Just enough to make the sweat drip along my flabby chest.

Just like yesterday, after the workout, I proceeded to clean myself up and get ready for work. The drive was insanely relaxing. I didn’t need to drop off my sister to work which meant the travel to the office was a lot faster and a lot smoother. Things started to pick up when I got to work. I quickly completed the task I had with me that was waiting yesterday. Lunch came and I felt absolutely guilty about what I ate afterwards.

I knew that I had just only promised just 30 days of sweat and not 30 days of dieting. The fine print doesn’t included overeating enormous amounts of food. I must admit, the lunch buffet was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Bistro Filipino by Chef Laudico offered an Ala Carte Buffet for their whole menu. We got to try majority of the food they served. Even without the fine print, I immensely feel guilty about over eating. I will never get thin again without fixing my food intake as well.

The eating didn’t stop at lunch. Our office had a Christmas Mirienda set up for us APAC people. It meant more food for my belly. I managed to eat a lot less this time but it still consisted for much unneeded carbs that I wouldn’t have the chance to burn at the end of the day.

End of day came at the office and I picked up Tricia at her office in Mckinley. We had dinner and we followed my friends for some good drinking time at Draft. I had a pint of beer.

This day has been nothing but eating. I have not had the chance to feel hunger today. Something that, not that I realized it, has become so common in my daily routine. I much as I hate to admit it, I have been eating to much everyday and the exercise I do doesn’t even compensate for the carbs that I am taking in.

As I am writing this, I am drinking another pint of beer. This should be my last for the rest of my challenge. I drink this glass for the January 2011 thin me. I toast this dark frothy beer for my past self that I so desperately want back again.

It Should Get Better After Today

I planned on waking up early today. I had set the alarm at 6 and as sure as the sun shining bright and strong after a storm, my phone rang its alarm at 6 am. Instead of waking up and changing in to running clothes, I kept on pressing the snooze button. After about 4 snoozes, I managed to pull myself out of bed to change.

I ran for a good 30 minutes and ended in a good huffing, puffing and dripping wet mess. It was a great run. I missed this feeling of being able to release some much needed endorphins early in the morning. I cleaned myself up and as routine as the wheel turning over to move forward, I inched myself to work. They day went by pretty fast with the thought of a good swim to end the day.

The pool wasn’t meant for me today. I wasn’t able to head off to the pool because of some other obligations in the house. I managed to complete everything fast and quick so I can just spin and do a light run afterwards.

I wanted to end the day with a good quality workout. As I was moving my stuff into the other house, the unexpected happened. I was carrying so much stuff that I hadn’t noticed that my grip on my watch wasn’t too secure. It dropped to the concrete. It sliced through the air like a hot knife through butter. I wasn’t able to check the damage as I picked it up because of the other items I had with me though,

As soon as I got to my room, I checked the watch and was mortified to see the the LCD was broken. My heart dropped as hard as how my Garmin dropped on the concrete. I was devastated. It was a gift from Tricia and I was so guilty to have ruined it.

I proceed to do my spin workout but was too bummed to even care about it. I ran but only reached a little over two kilometers.

Yes. I am the most unlucky person on the earth.

Things should start picking up after today’s set of unfortunate events.
