Running: AAV LSD (Ayala Alabang Village Long Slow Distance)

I started last Sunday pretty early. I woke up at around 4:30 am to go out with some Takbo peeps and have a good long slow distance run at the Ayala Alabang Village.  I was on the road at around 5 am. It was a long drive. I couldn’t speed up because it was still dark and the rain really made visibility bad. At the fear of crashing and burning, I tried to keep my speed at a decent reading on the speedometer.

We met up at Total Gas Station in Alabang. Most of the people were there already. Rico, Marvin, and Bong were already there. Finally, the names behind the forum handles have faces. We waited for some other people and then, we made our way to the village.

I think we ran a total of 20 kilometers. It was a very good run and I enjoyed it very much. Here’s to another one this coming Sunday.

I am in a null void so I’m going to cut this short and just say that the run was good and fun. It was great to meet new people. It was great to not feel bored about running long distances outside of the race.

Nice meeting most of the Takbo peeps there. I finally met the famous people Gingerbread running man, Dragon Bong Z, and the Dermatologist Dr Marvin. Till next time guys!

@rico: Travel was worth it coming from Eastwood. was able to train and get some mileage and had fun too. definitely better than running alone in the village or in ateneo

@patrick conception: AAV is a biker’s and runner’s village. You won’t run out of roads to train on. amazing!
