Running Updates!

I’ve been in and out of running for a little over a month now. It’s really taking its toll on me. I’ve gained back a little weight due to the idle time. My endurance was somewhat hit too. I tried to run last week but could barely finish 5 kilometers under 35 minutes. My focus is out of running. My head has been on a lot of other stuff. I need to get back in to running.

Last night, I ran 6 kilometers at a steady pace of 7 minutes per kilometer. I’m back to square one. My once 5-6 minute per kilometer pace is back to 7 minutes. I need to get back into shape (as if I was in shape in the first place??). Run again tonight. I’ll hope that the rain won’t pour too hard. A little drizzle is welcome to make the air a little cooler though.

I’ll be running bandit on this Sunday’s Step for A Cause fun run. Sorry organizers, it’s so hard to register at GMA office if you have an 8-5 day job. It’s almost impossible to pass that registration form if won’t take the day off. I need to do this. I haven’t ran a long distance since the 21k. The 10k this Sunday will really help me get my focus back.
